Under the guidance of the common prosperity objective, improving a robust long-term medical assistance mechanism has emerged as a critical issue in preventing poverty caused by illness and promoting social equity. This study, using Zhejiang Province as a case study, evaluates assistance needs through policy document analysis and field research, extracts reform achievements, and identifies existing shortcomings. It further proposes an optimized pathway from fragmented policies to systematic integration, providing feasible references for constructing a long-term poverty prevention mechanism in China.
