Big Data Enabling Healthcare Governance: Paths and Challenges

Abstract

In the new era, the development of the data economy has become an important direction of national strategy. As big data technology is increasingly applied in the medical insurance field, the value of data elements is gradually being unlocked, driving the integrated advancement of new quality productive forces in the medical insurance sector. This paper systematically examines the application scenarios and strategies of medical insurance big data in promoting the modernization of medical insurance governance, explores the critical role and practical pathways of data empowerment in refined management and reform of medical insurance. In response to potential challenges such as “digital involution”, regional disparities affecting the development of medical insurance digitization, and the balance between privacy protection and transparency in medical insurance data application, the paper proposes policy recommendations to support the development of a more intelligent, efficient, and secure modern medical insurance governance model.
