Objective: The paper evaluates the implementation effect and problems of DRG payment in Guangxi and puts forward suggestions. Methods: Descriptive analysis is applied for medical and healthcare data published by relevant government departments in Guangxi from 2016 to 2022. Results: Guangxi's DRG payment has been effective in improving the performance of healthcare security fund utilization, but not obvious in guiding hierarchical diagnosis and treatment. Conclusion: It is proposed to strengthen the guiding role of DRG payment in hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, improve the regulation and assessment mechanism of DRG payment, standardize clinical pathways, and regulate the quality of medical services.
