Since 2004, the proportion of people over 60 years old in Shanghai has been increasing. In the context, Shanghai has taken the lead in piloting a long-term care insurance system. With the in-depth promotion of pilots, the stability and sustainability of the nursing staff have become the key constraints on the effectiveness of long-term care insurance. Therefore, this paper conducted a questionnaire survey on the salary status of 5805 nurses from 50 institutions in 16 districts of Shanghai to summarize the demographic characteristics, social security and salary of the Shanghai nursing staff, and ordered logit regression was used to analyze the factors affecting the salary of nurses. Finally, this paper puts forward some suggestions such as building a team of high-quality nursing staff with good education background, improving the social security of nursing staff and lowering the requirements for certificates.
