Objective: The paper performs comprehensive evaluation of the medical service ability of pediatric surgery in a hospital, providing reference for the fine management of medical service in the hospital. Methods: The performance of pediatric surgery was analyzed from the three dimensions of medical service ability, medical service efficiency, medical safety, quality by using the comprehensive index method, comparing traditional indicators with DRG indicators. Results: The results of the two evaluation methods are quite different, in which the DRG index evaluation method is more scientific, more consistent with the actual situation of the hospital. Conclusion: The inclusion of DRG indicators in performance appraisal is effective in improving operation efficiency, fine management of hospitals
