Objective: The paper explores the effect of DRG comprehensive management on the satisfaction of patients with suppurative appendicitis. Methods: 76 patients with suppurative appendicitis admitted to hospital from May 2021 to April 2022 were selected as subjects. All patients were treated with appendectomy. They were divided into control group (n=20 cases) and observation group (n=56 cases) according to postoperative management. The control group adopted the routine management of fee-for-service, and the observation group adopted the comprehensive management of DRG. The management effects of the two groups were evaluated, and the psychological fluctuations, hospitalization expenses, hospitalization time, catheter retention time, suture removal time, patient satisfaction and complications of the two groups were compared. Results: The SAS scores and SDS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P﹤0.05), and the hospitalization expenses and length of stay of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P﹤0.05). Compared with the control group, the catheter retention time, suture removal time and the incidence of complications in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P﹤0.05), and the patient satisfaction score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P﹤0.05). Conclusion: The comprehensive management of DRG is helpful to improve the satisfaction of patients with suppurative appendicitis, shorten the hospitalization time, suture removal time and catheter retention time, and reduce the incidence of anxiety and depression, hospitalization expenses, complications ans the family economic pressure.
