Objective: The article compared the efficacy of interlocking intramedullary nailing and internal fixation with steel plate in patients with traumatic fracture and their impact on medical expenses. Methods: 58 patients with traumatic fracture treated in my hospital from February 2018 to February 2022 were selected as subjects and randomly divided into control group (n=29, internal fixation with steel plate) and observation group (n=29, interlocking intramedullary nailing). The treatment effects of the two groups were evaluated, and the basic conditions and complications of the two groups were compared. Results: The operation time, fracture healing time, medical expenses, hospitalization time, price of consumables in the observation group was lower than those in the control group( p<0.05). The incidence of complication in observation group was lower than that in the control group ( p<0.05). Conclusion: Interlocking intramedullary nailing can shorten operation time, fracture healing time and the length of stay, reduce medical expenses, significantly reduce the incidence of complications and price of consumables, promote the rehabilitation of patients and reduce the economic burden of patients.
