Objective: The paper is to evaluate the implementation effect of the second batch of state-organized centralized drug procurement policies in public medical institutions in Hubei Province, and to provide a basis for policy formulation. Methods: The cardiovascular system drugs in the second batch of nationally organized centralized drug procurement were selected as the target drugs. Descriptive statistical analysis method was used to analyze the drug use frequency (DDDs), purchase amount, average daily cost (DDDc) and other indicators before and after the implementation of the policy. Results: The DDDs of the selected varieties increased by 87.49%, and the purchase amount and DDDc decreased by 47.00% and 71.88% respectively. The DDDs and purchase amount of the selected products increased by 2463.38% and 310.77% respectively, and the DDDc decreased by 84.06%. Conclusion: The second batch of national centralized procurement policy has a significant effect, reducing the burden of drug costs for patients with cardiovascular disease.
